The CYC A-52L battery is a compact, high-performance power solution designed for riders who want a lighter, more streamlined e-bike setup without sacrificing reliability or output. Optimised for use with the Photon Gen 2 and compatible CYC systems, it offers a balanced mix of usable range, high discharge capability, and clean integration.
The A-52L is built using Samsung 50S 21700 cells, selected for their excellent energy density, stable voltage delivery, and proven durability under sustained load. These original, high-quality cells allow the battery to deliver consistent power while maintaining long-term reliability.
Running a 52 V (14s3p) configuration, the A-52L provides a 15 Ah capacity, delivering a total energy output of 780 Wh. This makes it ideal for riders prioritising weight savings and responsiveness while still offering enough capacity for longer trail rides and extended climbs when paired with efficient mid-drive systems. This battery will be restricted to road legal output.
An 110 A peak discharge-rated BMS ensures the battery can comfortably handle high current demands without stress, protecting the cells while allowing the motor to deliver immediate torque when required. The BMS continuously monitors load, voltage, and temperature to maintain safe and consistent performance.
The battery is housed in a durable enclosure designed for real-world riding, offering protection from impact, vibration, and environmental exposure. At just 5 kg total weight, the A-52L keeps overall system mass down, helping maintain the natural handling characteristics of a non-assisted Stanton frame.
